couch potato (no e)

With our new found motivation for 'gittin' er done' we went couch shopping last night. Exciting, isn't?

We know we want leather, I've heard nothing but amazing things about how it wears. Yes, fabric couches are beautiful and you can find many unique types of fabric, but we envision many bums on the couch along with a doggie bum (we'll give in eventually, I know us). We also agreed that we'd like to purchase a sectional. Now, don't barf, but it's so we can both lay down and hold hands while vegetating. Did you? Maybe a little in your mouth?

I've also heard rumors that if you have dark furniture in a small space, that it makes the space smaller. We have small, downtown space, so we need to go light on the color.

Wah-lah! THE ONE. The couch that we're in love with (maybe not we, but me for sure).

What is fabu about this couch is 1) it's on SALE, 2) it's one of those where you can add and subtract sections, so if we want to add or subtract, it's possible, 3) it's contemporary and doesn't look like a big marshmallow and 4) it is on SALE! We may not go with the white (although I read from some other bloggers that white is the way to go if you are looking for contemporary. You can always spice it up with festive pillows and an area rug, right?). We may go beige-ish to be safe with Jake and his little brindle hairs, but isn't she a beaut?

Sectional. Leather. Light color (comes like 25 million colors). Will fit our space (hopefully... we need to measure). S.A.L.E.

Thoughts?

  1. Don't be afraid of sectionals! I use them alot in homes and people love them. When you have guests, kids, etc. it is so nice to have space to spread out. I hope you can get it!
